'Marianne' crystal and pearl forehead garlandMarianne is a captivatingly simple garland of tiny crystals and pearls that can be worn across the forehead or as a charming hair band. It has been made from a double row of crystals and pearls individually claw-set into a goldtone chain. Originally a high-quality dress trim, this dates from the 1940s and has never been used.
A length of 1920s pure silk grosgrain ribbon has been hand sewn onto the chain enabling the garland to tie easily into the hair. The ribbon is finished with a Miriam Haskell pearl drop finding at each end.
The crystal and pearl garland is 30 cm long by just 7 mm wide and there is approximately 50 cm of ribbon at each end.
