Sepia brown and coral geometric Art Deco Rousselet necklaceThis is an unusual and distinctive French necklace by Louis Rousselet with a conspicous influence of ancient Persian beads and a wonderful example of early 20th Century jewellery design.
It comprises mottled pale sepia galalith beads interspersed with small square dark coral galalith beads and flat brass spacers. The larger beads have honeycomb facets whilst the smaller ones are a classic Art Deco geometric stepped design. The muted tones and angular lines of the beads are characteristic of the era whilst offering the perfect finishing touch to an elegant contemporary outfit.
The necklace is strung on a chain and fastens with a decorated barrel clasp signed “Made in France”. It measures 41cm long.
