Antique Edwardian wired floral garland necklaceThis amazing necklace is an elaborate garland of hand wired crystal flowers and leaves dating from around 1910 to 1930. Each element is made from clear and sparkling claw set crystals that have been hand wired and woven to form the flowers and leaves. The wire is a gentle pale antique gold colour.
This amazing piece of history may have initially been a sophisticated dress embellishment that was converted to a necklace around the same time. It is a truly unique piece that can't fail to be noticed!
The overall length is approximately 48cm and it fastens with a bolt ring closure. The largest central flower is 7.5cm wide x 8cm high and is flanked on either side by two smaller flowers each around 6cm diameter. These then taper into a series of smaller leaf shapes of 1cm wide by 2.5cm long.
This necklace comes in a beautiful velveteen and satin lined box.
