'Victoria' antique rhinestone halo tiara

This is a rare opportunity to accessorise your wedding with a genuine antique tiara dating from the early 1900s. You can be asbolutely sure that no other bride will wear a tiara like this! Despite it's undoubtedly romantic past, this wonderful piece will enhance any contemporary gown in a unqiue and dazzling way.

The frame that creates the halo design tests as silver and has a soft, aged finish rather than a bright, reflective finish. This leads us to believe 'Victoria' may have been made in Europe. All of the original, dazzling rhinestones are beautifully faceted and claw set and still sparkle as new. It is overall in lovely vintage condition.

The rectangular elements in the design taper from 37mm high in the centre to 18mm at each side. The band has a little fixing loop at each end.

The design of this distinctive tiara appears to have been influenced by the traditional Russian kokoshnik headdress. This style became popular for tiaras in Western Europe in the late 19th Century after Queen Alexandra commissioned a stunning diamond kokoshnik tiara for her 25th Wedding Anniversary celebrations in 1888.
