Art Deco Lisner lavaliere diamante necklace

This rare and exquisite Art Deco lavaliere necklace features a beautiful scrolled and foliate design that is so evocative of its era. The centrepiece comprises channel set round, pear and baguette crystals with three pear shaped droplets. It is connected to the decorative diamante chain by two swirling links encrusted with pave set crystals. The chain closes with a stunning fold over clasp at the back.

This superb quality necklace is signed with an early Lisner mark on the back of the centrepiece and therefore dates from around 1938. Early Lisner pieces like this - especially with such intricate detailing - are hard to find and much sought after.

The necklace is 38cm long whilst the centrepiece is 5.5cm wide and has a 5cm drop.

This necklace comes in a beautiful velveteen and satin lined box.

£185

A lavaliere is an item of jewellery consisting of a pendant incorporated into a necklace. The style was made popular by the Duchesse de la Vallière, a mistress of King Louis XIV of France, during the mid/late 1660s.
