‘Aurelie’ Edwardian crystal headpiece

Aurelie is a captivating and original headpiece featuring an exquisite Edwardian crystal dress decoration. It can be worn at the side or back of the head and shaped around a variety of hair styles from an unstructured updo to a more formal pleat or chignon.

The dress decoration in the centre is over 100 years old and in a rarely seen flower shape. The round, faceted rhinestones still sparkle with all the clarity and quality of gemstones. They are claw set into a delicate filigree frame with embellished scrolls. This part of the headpiece is mounted onto a little antique gold comb.

We’ve then added ‘leaves’ to the flower, created with repurposed elements from an Art Deco belt with claw-set rhinestones in a delicate antiqued gold setting. These are surrounded by new Swarovski pearls and finished with little fixing loops for sculpting and fixing into the hair.

The rhinestone flower measures 7.5 cm in diameter.
