Enchanting floral pink crystal brooch by Beau Jewels

Dating from the 1950s, this is a bright and colourful layered brooch that is quintessentially Beau Jewels with its bold flower and leaf design and quality construction.

At the centre is a cluster of eye-catching rose pink round crystals surrounded by smaller ‘petals’ of glittering aurora borealis crystals with pink and gold hues. Below these, and fanning out around the flowers, is a layer of givre opal and pink art glass ‘leaves’.

All the crystals are claw set in a pale gold riveted setting with a roll-over clasp. The brooch measures around 8 cm x 5 cm and is in lovely vintage condition.

Beau Jewels was an American costume jewellery company founded in New York in 1948. They earned a reputation for their beautiful flower and leaf jewellery with brightly coloured crystals. Many pieces were produced in sets comprising necklace, brooch and earrings. Beau Jewels jewellery was last produced in 1979 and is therefore becoming harder to find and more collectable.
