1960s gold ‘angel wing’ clip earrings by Lisner

These lovely mid-century clip earrings by Lisner date from the around the 1960s and would add elegance and panache to any outfit.

The soft goldtone metal is shaped to resemble textured, feathery angel wings with an attractive matt finish. They are stamped Lisner on the back of the clip.

The clips are comfortable and secure and the angel wings measure just over 3 cm

Lisner was founded in 1904 in New York City and initially sold Elsa Schiaparelli’s Parisian jewellery in the United States. In the 1930s the company achieved a higher profile by selling its own designs, marking its jewellery as Lisner from 1938 through to the 1980s. Although inexpensive, their designs were innovative and well crafted. Once considered ‘junk jewellery’ because of their price point, vintage Lisner pieces are now very collectable.
