Mid-Century sapphire crystal drop necklace

Dating from around the 1950s or 1960s it features sparkling round crystals with oval and pear-shaped sapphire rhinestones all faceted and claw-set in silver-toned metal. It features a “tassel” design, with a central drop falling elegantly from a large central “knot” with an eye-catching floral motif that adds a touch of femininity to the otherwise geometric styling.

The necklace fastens with a fold-over clasp set with three tiny crystals and a delicate safety chain. The clasp is stamped Austria on the reverse. The necklace is 40 cm and the tassel measures 7 cm.
