1940s black 8-piece dress set by Colletts Ltd

This is an 8-piece dress set comprising double sided chainlink cufflinks, four buttons with fixing split rings and two collar studs. Each element has a hexagonal chromium decorative mount inset with a black lucite disc and finished with a single faux pearl in the centre.

The cufflinks have a four link chain and measure 14 mm across. The studs are also 14 mm across while the little screw fix collar studs are 7 mm across.

The sturdy brown leather case has a push clasp and the cream silk lining is printed with Colletts Ltd, which dates the set to around the 1940s. The whole set is in lovely vintage condition.

Colletts of London was a high-end department store and gentlemen’s outfitter located in Fenchurch Street in the City of London during the first half of the 20^th Century. They were highly regarded for their bespoke tailoring and high-society evening wear and accessories.
