1950s glass pearl and filigree necklace by Louis Rousselet

Reflecting the elegance and playfulness of 1950s fashion, this lovely silver filigree and glass bead necklace is by French jewellery designer Louis Rousselet.

The centre of the necklace features five graduated glass pearl beads, the largest of which is 16 mm across, all with textured silver bead caps. The pearl beads are a creamy alabaster colour with a lustrous soft sheen. On either side of these are double rows of tiny glass pearls separated by silver filigree chain links with an intricate scrolled floral design. The pearls and links combination continues to the back of the necklace which fastens with a bolt ring clasp.

Measuring 50 cm, this necklace is slightly longer than most vintage necklaces which makes it a truly versatile accessory for a host of outfits.
