1950s intricate floral bracelet by Jewelcraft

This delicate and intricate bracelet is by Jewelcraft and dates from around the 1950s. It features pretty, multidimensional flowers in two sizes with open goldtone links. The flowers are made of an early plastic (so popular in that era) and are a creamy ivory colour finely coated with an Aurora Borealis wash to give them a delightful rainbow shimmer. The goldtone centres of the flowers are set with a pale yellow rhinestone adding a touch of sparkle.

The bracelet measures 19 cm and closes with a gold tone foldover clasp which is stamped Jewelcraft of the reverse.

The Coro company was founded in the early 1900s by Cohn and Rosenberger in New York City and became an important maker of high-end to affordable costume jewellery. Their jewellery designs were sold worldwide under many different names, including Jewelcraft in the UK between the 1920s and 1950s.
