Antique guilloché enamel buttons and pin set
Comprising three buttons and a bar brooch/tie pin, this appealing set dates from the romantic Art Nouveau era and is in fine condition.
The three square buttons are made of unmarked silver inset with a stylised petal design of vibrant blue and lime green guilloché enamel. They secure through the button hole with the little split rings. The button design is repeated on the bar pin that can be worn as a brooch, tie pin or even lapel pin.
The square buttons measure 10 mm across and the bar pin is just under 4 cm long. They test as silver.
The set is presented in its original beige linen-textured box with a snap closure and cream silk lining.
This set would have been designed as waistcoat, shirt or dress buttons and brooch or tie pin, but is equally relevant today as studs for a formal evening shirt or as decorative buttons for a ladies shirt or cocktail dress.
