French 1940s turquoise poured glass necklace

Radiating fun and femininity, this French necklace dates from around the 1930s or 40s and has a lovely crisp feel.

It is made of poured glass beads of varying sizes in a pretty fresh shade of turquoise. At the front of the necklace are four clusters of wired glass unfurling “bud” beads of exceptional quality. Although unsigned, the quality of the hand-made glass beads are typical of those used by renowned French designer Louis Rousselet, as is the way they are strung on a chain.

The necklace measures 40 cm and closes with a silvertone etched barrel clasp.
