‘Lila’ crystal tiara in suffragette colours

We designed this breathtaking tiara in support of the ongoing struggle for women’s rights today. It has been created in subtle shades of the early 1900s suffragettes’ colours of purple for loyalty and dignity, white for purity and green for hope.

Lila has been painstakingly hand crafted from a host of stylish vintage jewels. The centrepiece is a generous spray of faceted aurora borealis crystals which is fringed by three mid-Century lilac enamelled floral jewels, one signed ‘Exquisite’. Three further jewelled sprays – one set with pale alexandrite crystals and two with sparkling clear crystals – complete the illusion. Finally we’ve added five lilac enamel flowers rescued from a 1960s Trifari necklace. The band itself is embellished with new Swarovski aurora borealis crystals.

Lila is just over 5 cm high in the centre and measures approximately 30 cm along the band. The band is wrapped with silver ribbon and has a fixing loop at each
