Mid Century botanical gold pendant by Trifari

Although dating from around the 1960s, this striking golden pendant by Trifari is just as fashion forward today as it was then. With its sinuous outline and textured botanical pattern it will accentuate any style from relaxed to formal.

The pendant itself is formed by two ‘ribbons’ that fold through a central ring that is ingeniously articulated to ensure that it always hangs beautifully. This is attached to a classic rope chain with a bolt ring closure. It is made of gold plated ‘Trifarium’, a shiny and non-tarnishing metal used in almost all Trifari jewellery from the early 1950s.

The main element of the pendant measures 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm including the ring. The chain is approximately 55 cm long and carries the iconic Trifari hang tag next to the closure. The back of the pendant has the Crown Trifari logo, which dates this piece to between 1955 and 1969.
