Pewter and gold 1950s whaleback cufflinks by Murat of Paris

These stylish gold filled whaleback cufflinks date from the 1950s and are by Maison Murat of Paris. The smart faces feature an etched pewter coloured disc that is edged with a gold filled decorative border. The neatly etched retainers are also gold filled. The combination of pewter and gold colouring is quite unusual and makes these cufflinks truly versatile. They are in ‘as new condition’, measure 15 mm across the rounds and are stamped Murat on the reverse.
