1950s hand painted gaff rig yacht cufflinks

This is a characterful pair of reverse intaglio cufflinks picturing a highly detailed gaff rig sloop. The yachts are hand painted onto an iridescent mother of pearl background under a glass dome to create a 3D effect. The frames are gold gilt and chain link to a simple gilt retainer. The faces measure 14 mm across.
