This is a charming pair of 1950s floral clip earrings that are truly evocative of the era. They feature pastel pink, baby blue and pale lemon enamel flowers with sparkling rhinestone centres, interspersed with tiny white blossom and little green leaves. They have a golden filigree back and are signed Leru on the clip. Measuring 3.5 cm across, these earrings are in good vintage condition with only very minor chips to small areas of the enamel.
Leru Inc was formed in the early 1950s in Providence, Rhode Island to produced high quality stylish jewellery. Its many designs were advertised in glitzy magazines of the day including Glamor, Harpers and Mademoiselle. Leru’s craftsmen traditionally used alloys of silvertone and goldtone metals as well as mother of pearl, moonlight glow lucite, enamel and rhinestones.
